Penguin Report
This week I did a report on a penguin witch is a Fiordland penguin so here is my report i hope you enjoy it.
Tawaki / Fiordland penguin
Habitat
Tawaki, or the Fiordland Crested Penguin are unique among penguins. They breed in temperate rainforest only in the southwest corner of New Zealand. During the July to December breeding season they are most easily seen along the Lake Moeraki coastline.
Diet
The Tawaki eats Fish Larvae, small fish, crustaceans, cephalopods, and krill. It also includes dogs, cats, and stoats. Also they eat squid and octopus.
Appearance
Adult Tawaki has dark blue and grey upperparts which turns brown when approaching molt. Also often darker on the head and a yellow strip for an eyebrow striped crest which starts at the nostrils and extends well to pester the eye.
Life cycle
The Tawaki live to about 10 to 20 years old. Also they reproduce every 5 years. Which will make more penguins. But they would also need more food.
Predators
On land predators of the Fiordland penguin include Dogs, Cats, Stoats, Wekas, and Ferrets. In places where such predators are abundant such as on the South Island. The pests in Fiordland are Stoats, Ferrets, Weasels, Norway Rats, Ship Rats, Mice, Possums, Cats, Red Deer and sometimes Pigs.

Literacy work
This week my group did a book called no girls allowed it is about a girl who can't play rugby so here is some here is some work I did.
Here is a letter I did for my literacy work.
No girls allowed letter
Dear organizers
I understand that you don't want girls to play rugby but I have some reasons that might change your mind.
Reason 1
All of my family except my mum plays rugby and they all want me to play rugby but you won't let me.
Reason 2
My brother wants me to play in his team so we can work together as a team and the coach wants me to play in his team as well so could you please let me play rugby.
Reason 3
Also all of the team wanted me to play in the tournament. Not just my brother wanted me to play in the tournament but then you said girls can't play rugby but I know some girls that play rugby in my class so could you please let me play.
Thank for reading my letter hope you enjoyed
Thanks heaps
